Namiseom Island 남이섬

Introduction

Namiseom Island 남이섬 "  It is a half moon shaped (462,809㎡) isle, and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo (reign 1455 ~ 1468) " Namiseom Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads.

Nami Island declared its cultural independence on 01 March 2006 and re-named itself the Naminara Republic (Namisun).
The Naminara Republic is an imaginary country, but it has invented its own passport, currency, stamp and telephone card, and has promoted the establishment of Naminara in other countries. A "passport" issued from Naminara is required to enter the Namisum

How to get there

this island its not that far from the capital Seoul and you can get there by subway.

first get into the seoul subway line 7 ( sangbong station )

second in ( sangbong station ) you will be able to transfer to Gyeongchun line which take to Gapyeong Station

after you arrive, you will have 3 choices taxi, bus or walk. I did walk and it took me 15 mints only.
